Continuity Counts Project

Wallingbrook Health Group is one of five GP practices taking part in a research project run by St Leonard’s Research Practice, Exeter.

The project aims to improve continuity between registered patients and their personal doctors in order to achieve health improvements and increase patient satisfaction.

Wallingbrook would like to invite patients to attend a Patient Seminar on:

Thursday 5 December 2019 at 2pm, at Wallingbrook Surgery.

You will learn about the project, learn about the research on continuity of care and have the opportunity to share your own views and experience.

We look forward to seeing you.

Flu Vaccinations 2019- update

Our flu clinics are later than usual this year due to a further delay in the supply of the influenza vaccine intended for under-65s in at risk groups.

The flu vaccination clinics will run from mid October through to early December.

Patients can book their flu vaccination appointment online or contact the surgery.

Children's Flu Clinics

The children’s flu clinic scheduled on Wednesday 23rd October at Wallingbrook Health Centre has been cancelled due to vaccination delivery delays. We kindly ask that parents and carers contact the surgery to reschedule their child’s appointment.

We would like to offer our apologies for the inconvenience. Public Health England had originally advised that the children’s flu vaccination would be available to order week commencing Monday 7th October which allowed a two week period for the vaccines to be delivered as per previous years. We subsequently received an update at the end of last week informing practices they would not be able to place flu vaccine orders until week commencing 14th October. We have had further communication confirming the vaccination will not arrive in time for clinic on Wednesday 23 October, and that we can only order 40 of the children's flu vaccinations at this present time.

We have rescheduled clinics for the beginning of November.

Please contact the surgery on 01769 580295 to rearrange your child’s appointment.

Improved Access To Your GP Surgery

Mid Devon Health Logo

Patients across Mid Devon are now able to make routine appointments at a GP practice during evenings and at weekends.

The aim of the GP service is to make it easier for people to get an appointment at a time that suits them.

This scheme is an extension of the usual GP practice services, not a walk-in service, with people still needing to make an appointment if they want to see a GP in the evening or at the weekend.

Practices are working together to establish a service that meets the needs of the public, and GP practices will be promoting the service to patients.

If you are a patient registered at one of the practices listed on this page you will be able to book a routine appointment evenings and weekends with the participating practices on the timetable.

Please click here to view the participating practices timetable.

Appointments should be booked with the participating practice but if you have any comments or feedback regarding this service then please contact info@middevonhealthcare.co.uk
